The Objectives of the project
The science known today as "Virtual Reality" is one of the youngest sciences in Information Technology field. This science tries to simulate the human being himself with all his senses and the environment that surrounds him for the purpose of enabling man to carry out tasks which are very hard in normal conditions or sometimes even impossible.
In our project we tried to use the second most important part of the virtual reality theories to simulate the human auditory system.
For that we built a primary 8-bit 3D sound input/output circuit using the ISA bus as an interface to the PC. This card uses a utility program which simulate simple sound waves such as the musical tunes and output them to the card using a Delphi 3.0 platform and processor's assembly language procedures.
